§1119. Renewal of licenses for marriage and family therapists; renewal of provisional
licenses for marriage and family therapists
A.(1) Licenses for marriage and family therapists shall be valid for two years and
must be renewed biennially.
(2) On or before January first of the year preceding the expiration of a license, the
board shall forward to the licensee a form of application for renewal.
(3) A marriage and family therapist must accrue forty clock hours of continuing
education by every renewal period every two years.
(4) Upon the receipt of the completed application form, verification of completion
of required continuing education units, and the required renewal fee, the advisory committee
shall recommend to the board for issuance of a license renewal.
B. The board shall adopt rules pursuant to the Administrative Procedure Act
establishing such qualifications and requirements for the renewal of provisional licensed
marriage and family therapist licenses.
