           We will invite participants in the sport of Body Fitness from throughout the world to compete in the Optimum Classic Body Building Championships. This event and athletic participation will include athletes from Spain, France, Russia, Israel, Italy and over 150 countries are invited to compete here in Louisiana. Economic Impact is estimated over $3 million dollars. While receiving exposure to positive messages concerning health, fitness, and healthy lifestyles. Extensive media coverage heighten general awareness of the significance of these issues and set the stage for more targeted initiatives and programs related to health and fitness.

          Given the magnitude of the health and fitness problem facing Americans today, particularly children, it is imperative that more high-level emphasis be placed on improving the health and fitness of our citizens. Comprehensive media campaigns and programmatic wellness initiatives designed to draw more attention to this national dilemma are long overdue. It is well known that obesity greatly exacerbates many chronic conditions such as hypertension and elevated cholesterol. And overweight children also experience more than usual social stigmatization, discrimination, and poor body image.Real and meaningful health, fitness, and wellness strategies, programs, and initiatives are vital and necessary if we are to reverse these sobering statistics. The foregoing makes it crystal clear there is a need to encourage a more active lifestyle among the American people

          The goals of the Fit For Life In School Program:
1. Educate kids on the importance of living a healthy lifestyle

2. Teach proper and healthy nutrition
A. Carbohydrates, Proteins, Sugar, Different types of fats.
3. Help kids with Social Interactions
4. Leadership skills enhanced and sharpened by their involvement in sport competitions
5. Dependable: a. Life skills about not letting a team mate or partner down;
b. doesn’t give up based on pressure.
c. Teaching boys the importance of growing into responsible young men; Teaching girls about self
image, Girls talk with OBGYN professionals, and why their upper body strength is so important.
