           The 3rd Line NOLA's startup project, "Water World NOLA", is a project focused on water infrastructure around the Greater New Orleans Regions; specifically, waterways & catch basins.

According to data by the United States Chamber, and FEMA, Louisiana businesses have lost over $1billion a year since 2020-2025. New Orleans has spent over $100 million in drainage infrastructure, while the state has spent $1 billion in five years.

The "Water World NOLA" project approaches infrastructure risk, drainage infrastructure, flood management from a totally innovative approach allowing communities and legislators alike to actually walk through the data more effectively and efficiently, identify, target more precisely problem areas, and journey through infrastructure in a more immersive methodology combining A.I, Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality.

These methods allow for better community engagement, clearer language, improved communications and reports that work in coordination with contractors and investors alike to assist in acceleration of solutions and innovative approaches or uses of waterways, and segmented data. The project, "Water World NOLA", has a better way of allowing data to share a story that legislators and community members can follow and rally behind. This is leveraging the present future.           The 3rd Line NOLA believes the public benefit of "Water World NOLA" project, is to improve community public safety, strengthen Greater New Orleans' regional resilience hubs, and improve infrastructure planning through innovative flood management, and drainage infrastructure assessment in disaster prone communities.

These state funds will assist the "Water World NOLA" project in enhanced evaluation and documentation of infrastructure risk associated with stormwater systems, including drainage infrastructure, catch basins, canals, and pump stations. Which play a critical role in regional protection.

          The goal of the "Water World NOLA" project is to strengthen the Greater New Orleans' region's community resilience and improve the region's flood management through innovative assessment, documentation, and strategic planning of drainage infrastructure in disaster prone communities across the Greater New Orleans region.

               This, “Water World NOLA”, contract will support the provision of professional and technical services related to flood management, drainage infrastructure assessment, and community-based infrastructure risk analysis in vulnerable disaster-prone neighborhoods across the Greater New Orleans Region with emphasis on Orleans Parish first, with others to follow, in further assessments.

Under the contract, The 3rd Line NOLA, will provide services including the identification, documentation, and evaluation of drainage infrastructure, including catch basins, canals, culverts, and pump stations, in order to better understand current system conditions and potential infrastructure risks associated with stormwater management. These services will include field assessments, data collection, photographic documentation, mapping, and the development of reports summarizing findings and recommendations.

The “Water World NOLA” contract will also support planning and technical analysis to identify potential flood mitigation investments that can improve the performance and reliability of drainage infrastructure systems. This may include identifying maintenance needs, prioritizing infrastructure improvements, and supporting coordination with local agencies responsible for stormwater and flood protection.

In addition, the “Water World NOLA” contract will include community engagement and education services designed to increase public awareness about flood risks, the function of local drainage infrastructure, and strategies for strengthening neighborhood resilience to flooding.

Deliverables under the “Water World NOLA” contract may include infrastructure assessment reports, mapping and documentation of drainage assets, community outreach activities, and planning resources that assist public agencies and stakeholders in improving flood management practices and long-term infrastructure resilience.

The overall purpose of the "Water World NOLA" contract is to provide the technical support, data collection, and community engagement necessary to inform effective flood mitigation strategies and infrastructure planning, thereby enhancing public safety and environmental sustainability.
