Provide a summary of the project or program:
Our Freshly Harvested Game Program encourages Louisiana hunters share a portion of their bounty with the less fortunate of our state. Our processors participate in our program wherein the hunter can drop off their deer or hog to be processed at no cost to the hunter. Local food pantries or other local agencies collect the meat from the processor for distribution, and the invoice from the processors is sent to Hunters For The Hungry. We encourage donations of freshly harvested game throughout the hunting season.
Additionally, Hunters For The Hungry is working on implementing a "snack stick" program, using donated deer meat. We will be turning this donated meat into a shelf stable, high quality protein snack that can be distributed to kids and adults of all ages through various avenues throughout the state. Funding is needed for processing, packaging, and distribution of this product.

What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
Hunters For The Hungry’s mission is to encourage hunters and fishermen to make a difference in the lives of their neighbors by sharing their bounty of wild game and fish in order to combat hunger. Money is needed to cover processing fees and implement new programs to increase the amount of people we are able to feed.
What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
H4H would like to add more partner processors to our list to make it easier for hunters to donate their game to our organization. Additionally, we would like to partner with more tournaments and events that bring in a large number of wild game animals for donations.
What is the proposed length of time estimated by the entity to accomplish the purpose?
