§4845. Delivery by electronic means
A communication or document required or permitted by this Part to be given or
delivered shall be deemed to have been given or delivered when it is delivered by electronic
means to a recipient who has consented to that method of delivery of communications or
documents related to the work. Delivery by electronic means is accomplished when any of
the following occurs:
(1) The communication or document is sent by facsimile transmission to a telecopier
number at which the recipient has consented to receive communications or documents related
to the work, provided that the sender receives a facsimile confirmation of receipt.
(2) The communication or document is delivered to an electronic mail address at
which the recipient has consented to receive communications or documents related to the
work, provided that the sender receives an electronic confirmation of receipt.
(3) The communication or document enters an electronic information processing
system designated or used by the recipient for purposes of receiving communications or
documents related to the work, and the communication or document is deemed to have been
received by the recipient in accordance with R.S. 9:2615.
