PART V. INDUSTRIAL HEMP
§1461. Purpose
It is hereby the intent of the legislature to recognize industrial hemp as an agricultural
commodity and authorize the cultivation, processing, and handling of industrial hemp as
legal, agricultural activities in the state of Louisiana in accordance with the Agriculture
Improvement Act of 2018, P.L. 115-334.
