§3619. Applicability
Except as otherwise provided in this Part, the provisions contained in this Part shall apply
only to immovable property acquired by a foreign adversary or prohibited foreign actor after August
1, 2024. If a foreign adversary or prohibited foreign actor acquires immovable property despite the
prohibitions contained in this Part, the property shall be subject to forfeiture only during the period
in which the foreign adversary or prohibited foreign actor owns the property. Rights in immovable
property shall not be void or voidable because the property or right therein previously was held by
a foreign adversary or prohibited foreign actor.
