Rule 4.10. Chairmen; interim meetings; legislative continuance or extension; notice to the Speaker
A. A chairman of any committee or task force, including any subcommittee thereof, shall disclose in writing to the Speaker, no later than twenty-four hours after calling a meeting during the interim between sessions, if the chairman knows or reasonably should know the meeting will cause or has caused the chairman to file a motion for legislative continuance or extension pursuant to R.S. 13:4163 on a previously scheduled court proceeding, hearing, or deadline.
B. In the disclosure required by Paragraph A of this Rule, the chairman shall include the reasons why the meeting could not have been scheduled on a different date.
