Provide a summary of the project or program:
           The Military Festival Host Committee is made up of volunteer board members and staffs of the National World War II Museum and Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation. The Committee will attract, coordinate and produce an annual national military festival in New Orleans. The inaugural festival event, tentatively set for Spring 2017, is currently in its initial creative stage. Overall, it will include national military assets, personnel, pageantry, music and food, attracting visitors from around the world to the State of Louisiana to participate and celebrate.

What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
          The public purpose is to create positive economic impact through the attraction of national, international and regional visitors to Louisiana to participate as well as attend the event. The positive publicity from the national and regional media will also be of significant benefit to the State of Louisiana.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          The goals are: successfully host and manage the Military Festival by attracting military business visitors, general visitors, national and regional media to our region; showcasing Louisiana as a unique and desirable travel destination; and, presenting a platform for opportunities to show that Louisiana is an attractive place to do military related business. The objectives are to generate economic impact through the generation of additional tourism and room-nights, the rental of facilities and equipment, the use of Louisiana businesses to provide hospitality and other event services; to successfully fulfill the entity‚Äôs contractual and financial obligations of the event, (including, but not limited to, fees, venue rentals, staffing, media and public relations, marketing, business administration, event operations, equipment and transportation); to forge new business relationships with participating companies; and, generate positive media impressions through the activities associated with the hosting of the Military Festival events.
