Provide a summary of the project or program:
           Capital Outlay- The parking lot at the main office is full of holes and we do not have the funding to repair this lot. It is dangerous for our seniors to come to our office with the holes as they often use canes and walkers and occasionally wheelchairs. This lot needs to be repaired, preferably with a complete lot of asphalt.

One of our Parish Council Members refused to bring his truck into our lot and parked on the side of the road and this was an younger man. Imagine the difficulties the seniors have in maneuvering around in our lot.

Our carpet is over 17 years old and if there is money left after the paving of the lot, we would like to put new carpet down or flooring.

Also we have not had a refrigerator in our office for over a year; any money left over could go to that.

What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
          Iberia Council on Aging exists to identify the needs of older persons and to provide the delivery of services to said individuals. The Capital Outlay appropriation will provide a safer entrance for our seniors who are often using walkers or wheelchairs and the new carpet will provide a clean working environment for both the employees and clients. Also, having a new refrigerator at the office will help if there is an overflow of food at the meal site that needs to be stored in our freezer.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          Capital Outlay: The entrance to our office space continues to deteriorate and is unattractive and unsafe. The objective is to help achieve a safe environment when the elderly and staff come into the building. The aging carpet is also a health risk for everyone as a few years ago we had an environmental study done and dust and mold was a big issues that was addressed except for carpet.

What is the proposed length of time estimated by the entity to accomplish the purpose?
           1-2 weeks, depending on the weather and the time it takes to remove the old asphalt and prepare the ground for the laying of the new asphalt.
