- Write business plans
- File their businesses with the Secretary of State’s office
- Pitch to a Shark Tank-like panel for seed funding

What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
According to its by-laws, the Greater Baton Rouge Economic Partnership's mission is to benefit and increase the quality of life of the general public in and around the Baton Rouge area by promoting and supporting activities and functions that attract business, educate the public, and create jobs that increase economic growth and development in the region.
What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
Young Entrepreneurs Academy addresses education, financial literacy, and workforce development gaps for high school students across the nine-parish greater Baton Rouge region, all to drive economic development in Louisiana. Diversity of students is a core value, and we work to ensure our student base represents a microcosm of our greater community. Our strategy is to partner and engage with entities throughout the region who share our passion for unlocking the potential of aspiring young entrepreneurs. We aim to facilitate the complete entrepreneurship cycle, from business ideation through business plan development, all the way to incorporation. Each year, our goal is for our students to file 20 new businesses with the Secretary of State's office.
What is the proposed length of time estimated by the entity to accomplish the purpose?
Operations run throughout the year, and the Academy runs for eight months.
