Provide a summary of the project or program:
           The program will provide students with a wide range of aviation and aerospace career exploration experiences; along with focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). This initiative will introduce aviation to youth in the community through aviation history and an array of experiences. Such as field trips to aviation-related sites, flight simulations etc. Participants will experience first-hand what it’s like to be a pilot, aircraft mechanic, flight engineer, air traffic controller, aviation inspector, management etc.

The program will encourage students to pursue excellence and careers in aviation. The program will also teach important life skills to young people from all background through captivating experiences and mentorship. The program will provide hands on activities with interactions with aviation professionals. As the decade progresses the pilot and aircraft mechanic gap widen.

By 2027, it’s projected to be the worst year for shortages. The shortfalls could be over 40,000, depending in part on how quickly the industry moves to attract more mechanics, pilots and the success of those efforts. Our program fits in by helping to close this gap.
