Provide a summary of the project or program:
           The proposed project will build a permanent location for FoodNet Food Bank including shelf stable, refrigerated, and frozen storage space as well as a client choice grocery store/food pantry. This building will also house a donations center for in-kind support of Catholic Charities of Acadiana food and homeless programs. This will scale ability of CCA to serve today's and tomorrow's needs for the 8 parish region of Acadiana during and outside of a disaster event. This project will increase CCA's capacity to also meet the needs of people experiencing poverty, hunger, and homelessness.

This program addresses the following social determinants of health: economic stability (food) and neighborhood and built environment (access to quality foods), reduces food instability created by food deserts. and ensures access to nutritional foods during and after disasters.

          Catholic Charities of Acadiana cares for the sacred gift of all human life especially the most vulnerable.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          CCA sets a strategic plan each year, projecting it our for 5 years. CCA's current goal related to this project is to operate a regional program model for Food & Nutrition that is sustainable in addressing the community gaps in the region and not duplicating other services and to coordinate disaster food with the local EOC.
