           Funding will be used for parking lot reconstruction at the USS Kidd Museum as a result of the city realigning the street structure nearby. Additionally, funding will be used for the reassignment/relocation of exhibits at the Louisiana Veterans Museum as well as make improvements to the entrance of the Museum due to the parking lot restructuring.

          The public purpose sought to be achieved through the use of state monies is to enable the Louisiana Veterans Museum to become fully operational once again. Because the city is doing extensive work on the streets surrounding the Museum, the parking lot has been negatively impacted resulting in the need for major repairs to the parking lot in order to encourage visitation to the Museum.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          The goal is to bring in visitors to the Museum in Baton Rouge and to educate future generations on the USS Kidd. We also need to bring in new exhibits/attractions to the Museum in order to keep visitors coming back.
