Provide a summary of the project or program:
Waldorf School of New Orleans (WSNO) is a non-profit, independent school that integrates academics with the arts, culture, and community, and serves youth from nursery through eighth grade. Our mission is to awaken and draw out each child's individual strengths, allowing them to become empathetic, enthusiastic participants in local culture and global society.

WSNO has served children in New Orleans since 2000, fostering a developmentally appropriate approach to education. WSNO currently operates a Main Campus, serving children from nursery (preschool) through eighth grade on Columbus Street in the Seventh Ward neighborhood along Bayou Road, and an Early Childhood Center serving nursery and kindergarten students on Peniston Street in the Milan neighborhood of New Orleans. At both campuses, WSNO is deeply committed to fostering strong relationships of support with the surrounding communities.

Waldorf School of New Orleans currently serves 150 children and youth ages 2 to 14 from across the Greater New Orleans area. We welcome, value, and actively seek racial, religious, economic, family, and cultural diversity among our student population. Approximately 38% of students served are minority youth of color and 25% of students served receive financial assistance. Our students are encouraged to foster deep relationships with the communities surrounding our schools and the urban environment.

Waldorf School of New Orleans is requesting support toward its educational programming for youth in 2025. This project will provide arts-integrated education for youth in the Seventh Ward neighborhood of New Orleans.
