In line with the Mission of the Organization, Cenla Pregnancy Centers will provide to women and families in the Central Louisiana Region services to improve the pregnancy or parenting situation, providing life affirming resources, options counseling and support. Deliverables shall include but not be limited to the following: (1) assess participant needs prior to provision and delivery of services (2) provide counseling or mentoring, including care coordination for prenatal services, providing educational materials and information about pregnancy and parenting (3) provide referrals, including referrals to parish and social service programs, referrals for child care, transportation, housing, and state and federal benefit programs, and referrals that connect clients to health programs (4) provide classes on life skills, healthy pregnancies, budgeting, parenting, stress management, job training, and job placement, to mothers, fathers, support persons and beyond (5) provide material items including by not limited to car seats, cribs, maternity clothes, infant diapers, and formula (6) Designated programming for fathers

In line with our mission, "Cenla Pregnancy Center affirms that every human life begins at conception and is created in the image of God, and endeavors to provide compassion, hope, and help to anyone in our community who is experiencing a crisis-pregnancy and may be considering abortion by offering life-affirming alternatives and spiritual guidance based upon a biblical worldview," Cenla Pregnancy Center, Inc. (Cenla, Avoyelles, Miss-Lou Pregnancy Centers) purpose is to achieve, by the use of state monies, a system of pregnancy and parenting support to women, men and families in our communities who are pregnant or think they may be pregnant, their male partners, and/or pregnant minors, especially focusing on families in socio-economic distress.
What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
The program primarily provides information and counseling that promotes healthy childbirth, full term pregnancy, decision making regarding adoption or parenting as an alternative to abortion, and abstinence. Other support includes information, education, and referrals for other services for the needs of the women and newborn. The information and education provided can include topics regarding prenatal care, childbirth, adoption, parenting, and the value and understanding of abstinence as a means by which to avoid unplanned pregnancies. Services are offered at no cost from the first visit through the birth of their child and for two years into the child’s life. Our primary service area is Central Louisiana, largely Rapides Parish; however, our secondary areas are Avoyelles, Concordia, Catahoula, LaSalle, Vernon, Winn, Grant, Natchitoches, Allen parishes.
