Provide a summary of the project or program:
The project consists of an interior and exterior renovation and adaptive reuse of the historic former Patrick F. Taylor Library to serve as an expansion for the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. The existing four-story structure (Basement, Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3) totaling 28,389 gross square feet will undergo architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems modernization. The programmatic scope includes restoration of the historic library spaces for use as art galleries, and new use of the basement as an educational area with classrooms and administrative offices. The existing upper floors will be renovated to accommodate additional gallery space and a boardroom.

The work involves new interior partitions, accessibility and egress upgrades, structural repairs, installation of an automatic fire sprinkler system, and fire alarm, and complete new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. Restoration measures to the existing building façade will address the stone masonry and CMU exterior facades, original wood windows, and existing clay tile roofing. The scope will aim to improve site drainage and provide below-grade waterproofing. All modern architectural interventions and historic restoration efforts are designed in accordance with the Secretary of the Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation.
