§1109.14. Board of commissioners; officers; meetings
A. The board of commissioners shall elect a president, a secretary, and a treasurer,
whose duties in addition to those provided by this Subpart shall be established by the board.
If the board so decides, one commissioner may serve as both secretary and treasurer, but in
any event, the treasurer shall furnish bond in an amount and in accordance with terms and
conditions fixed by the board.
B. The board shall fix a time and place for the holding of its regular meetings and
shall hold at least one regular meeting in each calendar month. Additional regular or special
meetings may be held upon the call of the president or of five of the commissioners. All
meetings of the board shall be held at the domicile of the board and shall be governed by the
provisions of R.S. 42:11 et seq.
C. A majority of the current members of the board shall constitute a quorum. A
quorum shall be required to transact business, and any action of the board shall require
approval by a majority of the quorum present.
