§2717.1.4. Exceptions
The provisions of this Part do not apply to a person who might otherwise qualify as
a prohibited foreign actor owning military-installation-adjacent lands under any of the
following circumstances:
(1) The person is a natural person who is a United States citizen, regardless of
whether the United States citizenship was acquired by birth or the United States citizenship
was granted to a person after meeting the requirements established by the United States
Congress in the Immigration and Nationality Act, 8 U.S.C. 1101 et seq.
(2) The person is a natural person who is not a United States citizen but is a
permanent legal resident or is lawfully present in the United States by virtue of authorization
by the United States Department of Homeland Security.
(3) The person is a juridical person, as defined in Civil Code Article 24, that is
wholly owned by persons who qualify under Paragraph (1) or (2) of this Section.
(4) The military-installation-adjacent land is immovable property purchased, leased,
or otherwise acquired by a natural person that is used as a one-to-four family residential
property.
