§44. Gas to be measured by meter

            All gas produced from the deposits of this state when sold shall be measured by meter and the secretary shall, upon notice and hearing, relieve any common purchaser from purchasing gas of an inferior quality or grade, and the secretary shall from time to time make such regulations for delivery, metering and equitable purchase and taking as conditions may necessitate.
