§707. Collection of fees
A. The annual fees imposed by R.S. 30:706 shall be paid to the office
of conservation no later than January fifteenth of each year on forms to be
prescribed by the commissioner of conservation. If any person fails to pay the
fees imposed by this Part, the commissioner of conservation may proceed to
enforce the collection thereof by utilizing the remedies and procedures set
forth in Chapter 1 of this Title, specifically including any authority to obtain
and audit information and authority to impose interest and penalties.
B. All money received or collected by the commissioner of
conservation under R.S. 30:706 and this Section shall be deposited
immediately upon receipt in the state treasury and shall be credited to the Oil
and Gas Regulatory Dedicated Fund Account.
