§443. Storage on collector's property; requirements
A. A collector may store unlicensed, operable or inoperable motor vehicles of historic or special interest or parts cars on his property, provided that such vehicles and parts cars and the storage area are maintained in such a manner that they do not become a public nuisance as provided in R.S. 33:4876.1.
B. The following requirements shall apply to a collector who stores a motor vehicle pursuant to Subsection A of this Section:
(1) The motor vehicle shall be placed on jacks or lifts eighteen inches off of the ground for easy maintenance of the surrounding grass, which must be kept less than twelve inches high.
(2) The motor vehicle shall be covered by a black or blue tarp or similar car covering.
(3) The motor vehicle shall be stored close to the back property line in a parallel row, if multiple vehicles.
(4) The motor vehicle shall be stored and covered under a carport when possible.
(5) Any car parts shall be stored near the back property line and be properly covered with a black or blue tarp or similar covering.
