Provide a summary of the project or program:
Northeast Louisiana Economic Alliance (NELEA) is one of eight economic development regions in the state and covers 10 NE La Parishes: Ouachita, Union, Morehouse,West Carroll, East Carroll, Madison, Tensas, Franklin, Caldwell and Richland.

NELEA has coached and worked with four Parishes (East Carroll, Madison, Richland, Madison ) to lead the main communities (Ravyille, Bastrop, Delhi, Tallulah and Lake Prividence) to guide them through the USDA Set Forever Program to identify their marketing potential and community capacity. Then we worked with all of the towns to become Development Ready Communities, a valued national designation. We developed a strategic plan for each community and now we desire to assist each community in implementing their plans. Each town set several priorities to accomplish. These are the projects we will work with them on.

Additionally, we will enroll 5 new towns in the Development Ready Program. This will cover the whole region and include a town i n each Parish. We will help them to develop a plan and then implement what can be achieved within their Parishes.

We also partner with our universities, community college campuses, workforce development as well as federal programs and initiatives. By partnering and through Jumpstart for high school students, we are building our future workforce. By including workforce support and Development Ready Communities, the towns will benefit and experience smart growth.
