What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
          Kingsley House seeks to strengthen its organization through this project to better provide for the communities for which it serves: at-risk children, families, medically fragile/disabled adults and seniors in southeast Louisiana and to offer new opportunities for the end users of its services. As part of our agency's 5-year strategic management plan, we are enhancing the integration and intra-agency coordination of our programs to provide our end users with more wraparound services. In particular, we are integrating a 2-Generational model with national best practices across the portfolio of capacity building programming we offer to holistically serve our participants.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          Goals:
- To demolish a warehouse, (2) residential properties currently uninhabitable, and a sheet metal workshop that are all legal properties belonging to Kingsley House located across the street from the historic campus at 1600 Constance Street
- To backfill a pool on the property located across from the historic campus

Objectives:
This facility repair and renovation project will yield items below.
- an HVAC ready warehouse;
- classroom space (located on site where pool was originally located, re-purposed to ensure safety and create a future opportunity for organization);
- office space; and
- renovated kitchen and cafeteria space.
The new classroom space will serve as the site for Kingsley House Parent training, which will help participating parents to acquire the necessary career and financial skills to build their earning potential and improve their socioeconomic potential.

What is the proposed length of time estimated by the entity to accomplish the purpose?
           We anticipate the investment will benefit the Greater New Orleans community 2-3 years after project/construction completion.
