Provide a summary of the project or program:
Built in 2001, the Nims Center is Magnolia Community Services's on-campus multi-purpose center. The Nims Center is used daily by over 350 of Magnolia's clients and staff and is the central hub for Magnolia's Old Jefferson main campus. The Nims Center is the daily pick up and drop off location for clients; it is the main space for on-campus social and recreational activities and serves as Magnolia's cafeteria, dining hall, and auditorium. Additionally, the Nims Center contains a beauty salon and barber shop, gift shop, janitorial vocational work center, and an industrial kitchen.

At almost 20 years old and with the wear-and-tear of servicing clients and staff daily, the Nims Center is in desperate need of renovations and cosmetic upgrades. As the center of campus life, the Nims Center's functionality and condition are essential to helping Magnolia provide the highest quality of service, leadership and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Funds will fund the installation of roughly 4,000 square feet of safe, durable, wheelchair-compatible flooring and for the painting of the building's interior. Other renovations and upgrades include the installation of a handrail along the building's interior perimeter, the replacement of ceiling tiles and lighting upgrades, the replacement of the stage curtain, an upgraded sound system and the replacement of exterior gutters.
