The South Louisiana Economic Council seeking funds to establish the first Regional Business Emergency Operations Center (RBEOC) in the state of Louisiana. This RBEOC will be housed at the South Louisiana Economic Council (SLEC) on the campus of Nicholls State University.

          Public purpose of the project is to develop Center services dedicated strictly to business recovery in the aftermath of either a natural or man-made disasters disrupting normal business operations in the Bayou region.

          Center Program Development
SLEC will work with industry professionals to develop a plan of work that established the new RBEOC. This plan will identify how and when the RBEOC should be activated and which exercises and training are needed to successfully run the RBEOC when activated.

Center Communications and Awareness Development
The new RBEOC will be branded with a new identity system, website, social media strategy, and community outreach plan to effectively educate the business community and general public on the RBEOC.
