What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
          The Mire-Branch Water Corporation is proposing a water system improvements project that will improve their ability to provide a safe and reliable source of potable water to the unincorporated areas of Mire and Branch in Acadia Parish. These improvements are necessary due to the increasing demands of the current water system population as well as the additional demands of the growing residential and commercial developments within the system's service area.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          The Mire Branch Water Corporation is seeking to improve the water system by obtaining funding for the planning, engineering, design, and construction of water treatment plant improvements and a new elevated water storage tank in order to provide a safe and reliable source of potable water to its customers. In order to improve the water treatment system capacity they intend to add a new filter, softener, and protective building, performing upgrades to the existing filters and piping. They will increase the system's storage capacity be adding a new elevated water storage tank.
