           In order to host the 2022 NCAA Men's Final Four Basketball National Championship, it is required of the Bid Committee to establish a separate non-profit corporate entity. The established entity, "New Orleans 2022 Local Organizing Committee" is responsible for raising funds to fulfill the long list of obligations agreed to in the bid and contained in the contract between the NCAA and the Local Organizing Committee.

          By hosting the 2022 NCAA Men's Final Four the State of Louisiana and the City of New Orleans, based on an independent 2013 impact report, will have a minimum $165 million economic impact and generate $7.3 million in tax revenue. The CBS/Turner Network nationally televised event has over 1500 members of the media covering. The event will bring tens of thousands of visitors to our state for this multi day Championship, including fans from all 4 participating teams, over 6,000 coaches for the National Men's Basketball Coaches convention, numerous NCAA sponsors and college administrators from across the country. This event will continue to promote the State of Louisiana as the leader in hosting Nationally prominent sporting events and as a destination city for travel and tourism.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          To reinforce Louisiana's and New Orleans' stature as one of America's greatest states/cities and as a premier sporting event venue through the national media coverage and the live broadcast of the event.

To create and generate jobs and revenue in Louisiana in one of major industries, travel and tourism.

To generate tax revenue for state and local government that otherwise would go to another State.
