What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
          The mission of the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank is to feed hungry parish in Baton Rouge and the surrounding 10 parishes: Ascension,
Assumption, East Feliciana, Iberville, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, St. James, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana. We distribute food through more than 100 food pantries, as well as through Senior Grocery and other mobile distributions, and our School BackPack program where we provide food to children in pre-K through 5th grade backpacks of food for weekends and holidays. Additionally we respond in disaster to provide water and food to those in need.


What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          Our goal is to meet the needs of food-insecure individuals and households in our 11-parish service area.

We will distribute more than 14 million pounds of food in 2022, the equivalent of 11,666,667 meals to address this food insecurity.
