           The Morehouse Council on Aging through contractors would repair and recover the parking lot areas of the agency which is in bad need of repair and overlaying. It has alligatored in many areas, and has become a hazard to the older people (over 60+) that come to the agency for services. This would entail the interior and exterior parking areas which has had sinkholes and damage throughout the years. This would also include the striping areas for handicapped and regular parking slots. This is also used by many people going into the adjacent park, walking trail and baseball field. It was fixed in 1983 originally and some patching since that time.

What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
          This repair will make it easier for people with ambulatory problems gain access better to the building facilities of the agency, especially for those who may use a walker, or wheelchair in gaining access to the buildings, and enhance the appearance of the buildings and general area of this corner of the park.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          The agency will contract with private companies through the bid process to repair those areas that need repair, and overlay the parking areas, and strip the parking slots once finished. This will make available 50 reliable parking slots that people do not have to worry about falling in and hurting themselves, and making liability problems for the agency.
