Our Mission
To be the leading and most recognized organization in enabling digital leadership preparedness for aspiring diverse professionals.

Our Vision
To build a pipeline of diverse professionals and aspiring students in the STEM and digital technology fields.

BDPA Monroe Chapter non-profit organization is the premier organization focused on nurturing and developing diverse working professionals and future IT leaders in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and all digital technology fields. For more than 40 years, BDPA enabled the upward mobility of African Americans and other minorities, who are at risk with low to moderate income and reside in disenfranchised communities, in the Information Technology (IT) and STEM fields.

Our purpose is to serve and elevate students (middle /high school) and young adults (18-26 ages) in or out of school for the many IT job opportunities, while building a talented and diverse group of people in the most creative and innovative workforce for Ouachita Parish and the State of Louisiana.

BDPA Monroe Chapter offers a unique opportunity to connect with others to share knowledge amongst a community of peers through:

Youth STEM Program: Throughout the year training programs:
High School Programs. The National High School Computer Competition, (HSCC) College Programs, Adult Programs
Provide virtual and physical experiences aimed at advancing the careers of our adult members. Leadership Development Programs
Through partners we endeavor to accelerate the development and growth of leaders to reach their full potential.

Monroe BDPA Chapter partnered with Cisco Industries to ensure Ouachita Parish's workforce is skilled, trained and experienced in IT jobs that don't require a college degree, which are college accredited. The following are a few certifications that are provided:

Cybersecurity, Networking Switches, C++,Linux, CompTIA, HTML(website/mobile app development),JavaScript, Drone Courses and Licenses, when applicable

BDPA Monroe Chapter members are trained (via virtually or in person) within a robust learning platform. In person or virtual tutoring is provided to prepare for the pre-certification test and certification exam. We discovered that the participants in Ouachita Parish who are in failing schools or out of school are unable to pursue IT opportunities due to very limited academic education and skills. Therefore, EJMAX Solution decided to create a BDPA prerequisite learning platform that simulates and integrates with part of the Cisco learning platform to host a minimum of 10,000 participants.

BDPA Monroe Chapter prerequisite learning platform is designed to provide a foundational training program that builds the confidence and academic performance for the participants with limited resources and reside in disenfranchised communities. This program includes a required learning Technology Package that also generates Industry certifications.

BDPA Monroe Chapter and Industry courses are a 12 month program which includes the Prerequisites Technology Training program (3-4 months). Evening courses and weekend courses are provided. Class structure is similar to college structure, meaning course learning in class and lab training is virtual, with tutors, if applicable.

The goal is to introduce BDPA A STEM Technology Academy to the five largest cities in the State of Louisiana. We believe training up a workforce for Louisiana future Digital Technology Transformation is crucial for the state and the people within the State.
