           Divine Kingdom Ministries is an organization dedicated to the academic, and social development of the youth and young adults in our community and the surrounding areas. Recognizing the lack of extracurricular educational and recreational opportunities in Vivian and the surrounding areas, we propose the establishment of the Youth Empowerment Center. This center will offer a range of programs designed to empower youth through education and life skills training, addressing the current void in our rural area. I currently run this program on a small scale serving approximately 20 children daily, but I have been unable to expand due to a lack of funding and the parents' inability to pay. Currently, we offer Academic Tutoring, Financial literacy, Cooking lessons, Sewing Lessons, a Distinguished Gentlemen's Program, etiquette, and Nutrition classes.

What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
          Divine Kingdom Ministries Youth Empowerment Center aims to address the critical need for educational and developmental programs for the youth in Vivian, LA, and surrounding areas. With 29.9% of the population being under the age of 18, and 8.6% between the ages of 18-24 there is a significant gap in accessible, affordable, and engaging activities in our rural area. Our organization provides academic support and life skills training such as financial literacy, cooking classes, sewing lessons, and anything else that we can incorporate that will give our youth skills that they can use to better their lives. We currently partner with organizations such as LSU Agricultural Center, First Guarantee Bank, and the 4H program. We seek support to establish, expand, and sustain these programs, fostering a brighter future for the youth and young adults in our area.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
          Our primary goal is to provide a sustainable, enriching environment for youth and young adults in Vivian and the surrounding areas. Given that we are the only youth program in this region we aim to:

* Engage at least 100 youth and young adults within the first year
* Improve academic performance and life skills
* Establish a long-term model for rural youth empowerment

Implementation Plan

We plan to operate the center with a structured schedule of classes and activities, supported by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Our resource requirements include funding for staff salaries, program materials, and facility maintenance. During the summer the center will operate from 9 am - 3:30 pm Monday-Friday. During the school year, we will pick the children up from school at 3:30 pm and take them to the center where they will be able to get tutoring and participate in other activities until 6 pm. During the summer breakfast and lunch is served at the center. During the school year, a meal is provided after school.
