           The Morehouse Parish Sheriff's Office is requesting $249,525 in Capital Outlay Priority 1 Cash-Line of Credit funding to construct a new Dispatch Center. The Sheriff needs a larger dispatch office for to suit their needs. The Center must adhere to Building Code requirements for emergency services, and should be a stand alone facility with restrooms. The proposed improvements will provide a 24' x 24' room, electrical and HVAC improvements, dispatch equipment, and related work. The facility will either be placed in an existing building behind the Sheriff's Office or be a stand alone facility, which ever is more cost effective. This decision will be made during the planning process. The facility will be used for dispatch for emergency 911 services for the entire Morehouse Parish area.
