Provide a summary of the project or program:
Divine Kingdom Ministries is an organization dedicated to the academic and social development of the youth and young adults in our community and the surrounding areas. Recognizing the lack of extracurricular educational and recreational opportunities in Vivian and the surrounding areas, we propose the establishment of the Youth Empowerment Center. This center offers a range of programs designed to empower youth through education and life skills training, addressing the current void in our rural area. I currently run this program on a small scale, serving approximately 28 children daily, but I have been unable to expand due to a lack of funding and the parents' inability to pay. Currently, we offer Academic Tutoring, Financial Literacy, Cooking lessons, Sewing Lessons, a Distinguished Gentlemen's Program, etiquette, and Nutrition classes. We have also started a small community garden in our effort to teach our youth how to grow their own food, in turn creating long-term sustainability skills. We offer our youth the opportunity to sell their produce at farmers' markets. This teaches them marketing and sales strategies. While also enhancing their ability to do business as young adults. Due to not having our own land, we haven't been able to adequately expand, and we desire to secure funding so that we can expand our operation and be able to serve more people in our community.

What is the entity's public purpose, sought to be achieved through the use of state monies?
The Divine Kingdom Ministries Youth Empowerment Center aims to address the critical need for educational and developmental programs for youth in Vivian, LA, and surrounding areas. With 29.9% of the population being under the age of 18, and 8.6% between the ages of 18-24, there is a significant gap in accessible, affordable, and engaging activities in our rural area. Our organization provides academic support and life skills training, such as financial literacy, cooking classes, sewing lessons, and anything else that we can incorporate that will give our youth skills that they can use to better their lives. We currently partner with organizations such as the LSU Agricultural Center, First Guarantee Bank, and the 4-H program. We seek support to establish, expand, and sustain these programs, fostering a brighter future for the youth and young adults in our area.

What are the goals and objectives for achieving such purpose?
Our primary goal is to provide a sustainable, enriching environment for youth and young adults in Vivian and the surrounding areas. Given that we are the only youth program in this region, we aim to:
* Engage at least 150 youth and young adults within the second year
* Improve youth academic performance and life skills while incorporating activities that enhance the child's overall mental health and self-confidence.

* Establish a long-term model for rural youth empowerment & and educational development

Implementation Plan

We plan to operate the center with a structured schedule of classes and activities, supported by a dedicated team of staff and volunteers. Our resource requirements include funding for staff salaries, program materials, and facility maintenance. During the summer, the center will operate from 9 am - 3:30 pm Monday-Friday. During the school year, we will pick the children up from school at 3:30 pm and take them to the center, where they will be able to get tutoring and participate in other activities until 6 pm. During the summer, breakfast and lunch are served at the center. During the school year, a meal is provided after school.

Currently, we are still waiting to receive the initial funding. Upon the arrival of funding, we plan to purchase an 8-acre plot of land and add 2 mobile structures and a metal building for youth fellowship meetings and group trainings. We aspire to secure our own land so that we can expand our community garden and agricultural program, while also establishing our foundation. The mobiles will be used for classroom operations until we can raise enough money to build a school on the grounds. The School name is Divine Kingdom Ministries Performing Arts Academy, which is an Academic Performing Arts School of Ministry. We are certified as a non-public school not seeking state approval, and we are approved to have up to 12 students at this time. Currently, we are working on a curriculum to submit to the state for their approval and accreditation. We aim to expand our operations to serve more children, while also incorporating mental health services into our weekly activities. This is a phased plan, but with the proper support, we hope to accomplish the goals listed within 1 year of receiving funding.
